What I've been up to lately...

Since I left NYC, I've been doing nothing but sunning, skiing, eating, sleeping, hanging out and reading. It's been awesome. The weather has been great AND I've been able to relax for the first time in over a year.

I've been doing a little work here and there on the business plan for my new venture, but other than that I've just been reading books and magazines. Right now I'm reading "Magical Thinking" and it is one of the best books I've read in the past year...although I've mostly been reading either spiritual or business books (totally polarized reading selection, i know) so there isn't a lot to which I can compare. Regardless, I love reading a book that makes me laugh out loud. The best thing about this book is that the stories are not only funny, but true. Thank you, Augusten, for not only making me laugh, but for reminding me that I'm not the only one with a totally nutso family and a crazy life.

Hey Duder, Want a Tooter?

LAG and I went to the liquor store for some supplies to make adult beverages for a party I was throwing for my best friend's wedding. I was delighted that I could buy good wine at really decent prices, as well as stock up on Tooters - a pre-made test tube shooter - in bulk.

Tooters themselves are pretty gross, but they remind me of this bar in Macon that thinks it is an upscale joint because it has white trash wait staff walking around with Tooters for sale...which is how the phrase "hey Duder, want a tooter?" came to be...you totally had to be there.
