Either/Or

I rarely call anyone I’m dating by their real name when talking about them; I just refer to them as “Boy.” And when we are no longer dating, they always get a nickname for future reference. For example, the “Boy” of 2004 was promptly named “He Who” short for “He who should not be named - EVER” shortly after we severed ties. The one before him went from “Boy” to “Wig” because of his out-of-control hair. One of my work friends came up with the perfect name for the one whom, until recently, was called “Boy.” He has now been named “Either/Or” which is short for “Either he is your ‘Boy’ or he’s not, Weezie!”
